Apartment in NJ stinks really BAD !!? I get some foul smell in my apartment in NJ. Its not there all the time but whenever it smells.. its really horrible and so bad that I have to go out for fresh air.. I keep the apartment clean and I am sure that it is because of cooking (Steak, meat), Hukka that others cook downstairs.. maintenance man says its food smell and cannot do anything abt it..

Any idea how to get rid of it???

try sprinkling some baking soda on the carpet, let it set for a while and vaccum. also put some vinegar in a bowl and leave it out, both will soak up the odors. good luck.
