Jetta Hood? is it safe to remove that material underneath the hood, i heard it makes your motor and your DV and intake a lil more louder

< class="additional-details">Additional Details 19 hours ago if i take it off will my engine go on fire? 11 hours ago well i removed it and wow my forge splitter sounds a lot louder and more i guess crisp and clean sounding and i called VWoA and they said its for noise deadning and the later model jettas such as 03-and up acctually DONT come with that material under the hood sooooo yea none of your asnwers helped me sorry yes, it will make the car a bit louder but not much to where you will see a huge difference. as far as i know it is there for insulation. the temperature of the engine bay will be higher if you remove it, but it should not catch fire unless you are pushing the car for like...an hour on the highway without slowing down and the sun is beating down on the car the whole time....I would recommend not just because there is no noticable difference...hope this helped
