I drive a 2003 gixxr 1000 and I feel like they're a dime a dozen out there, I really want mine to stand out a little and I figured some ground lighting on the bike will do that as well as increase my visibility at night, which is kinda poor from the sides.
Will LED lights on the bottom and inside of the bike do the job as well as neons as far as soft, even light? I want a halo around the bike, not just spots of light on or under it.
Has anyone done this, can anyone find me a good product / supplier for this? Everything I've found is way overpriced.
I already have good safety equipment, ride safely, and my bike is in good order, so you can save yourself the keystrokes on the lecture, or write it if you wish.
thanks a lot!! Neon is definitely the better way to go for visibility. Most people just put LED in their rims to create a cool mind screw when driving at night. In the plastics and underbody, neon would create a nice steady glow all around. LED are really designed to flash on and off. They'll burn out quick if you just have them stay on all the time.
