Can we 'get to know' the psyche of the collective consciousness? Is it possible to treat the collective with the same psychological treatments used to treat an individual?
You're entering the realms of the study of sociology and psychology, and, perhaps anthropology.

Whereas you can 'study the social interactions of people and groups, trace the origin and growth of social processes, and analyze the influence of group activities on individual members' (Wikipedia) - the essence of the individual is missing from the equation.

It is ironic, personal variables are infinite, but social variables are finite.

I lean more towards the uniqueness of the individual and negate the concept of a collective consciousness - or place it in the backseat.

If collective consciousness was music, it would be a discordant harmony.
