I need help with my r4ds cheat codes for animal crossing wild world? please when ever i try the codes the game wont start it just stays black with no sound could someone please help me.

This happened to me when I used cheats with a different DS game (pokemon pearl). It wouldn't work so I turned off all the cheats and started the game without cheats. Later on I saved it and put the cheats on and it worked.
