Vestige beast of husk and scale,
Fossil, footprints, foretell life’s tale,
Water pastel portrait etched,
Of hidden secrets, Pandora’s kept,
Mesozoic era of, the past,
Great reptilian, of surpassed,
Drum beats echo across distant lands,
As you strut across the meadowlands,
Tree’s vigorously shake, to your seismic quake,
Amphibious Salamandridae, resides beside the lake,
Carnage meat for Carnivores,
That’s their meal that they adore,
Foliage leaves for herbivores,
Before the seasons departure,
Marvelous beasts, both large and small,
What happened to your ancestors?
What caused the extinction of your race?
